A 103 cm tachi in T8 tool steel folded nine times, producing the twisted grain pattern that runs the length of the blade. It carries a true yokote and a 2.2 cm sori, and at 1.6 kg boxed it is the heaviest piece in this batch.

Description

Unsharpened collector configuration. Sold and fulfilled unsharpened for adult collection and display only.

The steel is declared by the workshop as T8 carbon tool steel in a nine-fold lamination, finished with the workshop's base hand-polish specification. The grain is produced by the folding itself rather than etched on afterwards.

Fittings are copper and the saya is rosewood. The tsuka is bound over pearl rayskin. This blade ships unsharpened for display and collection.
