Age restriction

Sales are to adults aged 18 or over only. By placing an order you confirm that you are of legal age to purchase a bladed article where you live. We may refuse or cancel any order where age or legality cannot be established.

Your local law governs

Laws covering the purchase, possession, carry and import of bladed articles differ by country, and within the United States they differ by state and by city. Some jurisdictions restrict blade length; some restrict carry rather than ownership; some require the item to be shipped to a business address. Several jurisdictions regulate unsharpened swords in the same way as sharpened ones, so an unsharpened sword is not automatically exempt. It is the buyer's responsibility to confirm the rules that apply at the delivery address before ordering. We cannot give legal advice on your jurisdiction.

Intended use

Every product currently offered is supplied unsharpened for adult collection and display only. It is not sold for cutting, combat, self-defense, sport, martial arts practice or training. An unsharpened full-size metal sword still has a point and substantial weight, so it must be handled carefully, stored securely and kept away from minors.

What we state, and what we do not

Steel type, hardness, dimensions, weight, edge state, tang construction and fittings material are published on each listing, and the values shown are the ones held in that product's own record. Hardness figures are values stated by the workshop and are not independently lab-tested. Dimensions are declared per model rather than derived from a single catalogue standard, and they are not per-unit measurements of the individual sword you receive. Where a value is not held for a model, it is omitted rather than estimated. We do not publish a country-of-origin certification, a folding count, or any performance or durability rating, because those are not values we can verify.

Liability

An unsharpened full-size sword is still a potentially dangerous article. Prime Katana is not liable for injury, damage or legal consequence arising from misuse, unsafe storage, unlawful transport, or purchase or possession in a jurisdiction where the item is restricted.

Returns

Eligible items may be returned within 30 days after delivery, and approved returns are sent to our registered business address in China. Contact us and obtain approval before sending anything back.

A reasonable inspection on arrival — opening the packaging, drawing the sword from the saya, checking colour, fittings, dimensions and edge state against your order, photographing it, and restoring the protective oil afterwards — is not treated as use and does not by itself cancel your return. Eligibility ends where the item has been used for cutting, sharpened, polished, disassembled, modified, damaged after delivery, or returned with parts missing.

Change-of-mind returns are arranged and paid for by the buyer. Where photographs or order records show transit damage, a wrong item, a manufacturing defect, or a material difference from what the listing declares, you do not carry the international return cost; each case is reviewed on its facts.
