Description

A tanto in aikuchi mount — no tsuba — with a wenge handle and matching wenge saya. The wood carries a pronounced straight grain in warm mid-brown, polished and waxed.

The blade is shinogi-zukuri with a defined ridge line, in T10 tool steel, clay-tempered and mirror-polished, on a one-piece tang.

The habaki is plain brass and the koiguchi is dark horn. A single mekugi pin secures the tsuka.
