Description

A katana whose temper line is the point of the piece — a large billowing wave pattern that rolls the full length of the blade in tall crests, formed by clay tempering rather than etched on afterwards.

Steel is T1095, clay-tempered to the workshop's own hamon pattern and finished with an eighteen-stage hand water-polish, as declared by the workshop. The blade carries a cut bo-hi groove and a true yokote — a real geometric transition at the tip rather than a simulated line.

The saya is black lacquered cypress with a grey dragon worked along its length. Black ito is wrapped over wild rayskin with cream same panels. Fittings are copper as declared by the workshop, finished in black with a gold-tone fuchi; a long black sageo completes the mount.
