The blade is T10 tool steel with a workshop-declared midare (irregular) hamon. Tsuka is 35 cm / 13.8 in. This is closer to a long wakizashi / short katana than to the 67 cm piece above.

What you are paying for is the T10 hamon, the 4 cm width, and the extra mass — not a painted zinc dress sword.

Why this one costs more

  • T10 with a visible midare hamon, not a plain stock grind.
  • 4.0 cm blade width and 0.8 cm thickness — a wider section than the 3.1–3.2 cm blades elsewhere in the catalog.
  • About 1200 g without the saya. It will not feel like a $139 katana.
