Description

A clay-tempered katana in a black saya inlaid along its lower half with a silver crashing-wave and dragon design. Navy blue ito over genuine rayskin.

The blade is T1095 steel, differentially hardened with a clay coating so the temper line is formed rather than printed, and finished by an eighteen-stage hand water-polish as declared by the workshop.

Fittings are copper: a mokko-gata tsuba in dark bronze tone with gold dragon-and-wave relief, and a gold-tone habaki. The saya is lacquered cypress.
