Description

An all-dark katana. The blade is 5160 spring steel with a titanium coating that takes the surface to gunmetal rather than bright silver, and the mounts follow it down: dark saya with a fine speckle, black ito, dark tsuba.

The only warm note is the gold-tone menuki set into the wrap. Genuine rayskin sits under the ito; the saya is lacquered cypress.

Finished by a thirteen-stage hand water-polish, and fitted with copper koshirae as declared by the workshop.
