Description
A mirror-polished katana in a gloss black lacquered saya carrying a single gold crest, finished with a thick cream sageo tied at the koiguchi. Black ito over pearl rayskin diamonds.
The blade is 5160 spring steel, hand-polished to a mirror finish, with a ko-maru kissaki and a sori of 2.1 cm. It tapers from 3.17 cm at the base to 2.5 cm at the tip, and from 0.7 cm to 0.51 cm in thickness.
The tsuba is iron, in an open plate design, with the remaining fittings in alloy. The saya is lacquered solid wood.
