Description
A three-layer sanmai blade finished to the heaviest specification in this batch — twenty-four hand polishing stages, a clay-tempered wave hamon, and a stingray-skin saya bound in horn.
The steel is declared by the workshop as 1050 in a sanmai lamination: a harder edge core forged between softer outer layers. The hamon is an irregular wave formed by clay tempering rather than etched on afterwards, and the tip carries a true yokote — a real geometric transition rather than a polished line.
Fittings are gilded copper. The tsuka is bound over pearl rayskin with diamond-fold paper beneath, and the saya is wrapped in stingray skin with buffalo-horn furniture. At 1.6 kg boxed it is the heaviest piece in the workshop line.
