Description

A tachi with a pronounced 6 cm curvature, mounted in a coral-pink lacquered saya with white-and-pink ito, cherry-blossom print cloth accents and a long patterned sageo.

The blade is workshop-forged patterned steel with a visible surface grain. It tapers from 3.21 cm at the base to 2.5 cm at the tip, and from 0.7 cm to 0.51 cm in thickness. The yokote is simulated rather than cut.

Fittings are zinc alloy, with an ornate antique-bronze mokko tsuba in floral relief. The saya is lacquered solid wood and the same is synthetic.
