Description

Deep red lacquer with metallic sparkle in it gives the saya a shifting surface under light, while the tsuka is wrapped in purple ito over silver menuki.

Unsharpened collector configuration. Sold and fulfilled unsharpened for adult collection and display only.

Blade and tang are cut from a single piece of high carbon steel, the tang secured through the tsuka with mekugi pins. A bo-hi fuller runs the blade, and it ships with the edge already unsharpened.

Brass forms the habaki; the tsuba and the remaining fittings are zinc alloy.

Care

Wipe the blade with a light machine oil after handling. Store horizontally, edge up, away from humidity.
