Description

Crackle lacquer in silver-white breaks the saya into fine irregular lines instead of one flat coat. Over the tsuka, lavender ito is wrapped across silver menuki.

Unsharpened collector configuration. Sold and fulfilled unsharpened for adult collection and display only.

Underneath, the blade is high carbon steel with a bo-hi fuller cut along its length. It is one piece of metal from tip through tang, pinned inside the handle with mekugi, and already unsharpened when it ships.

The guard and kashira are zinc alloy, and the habaki at the blade collar is brass.

What we can verify is on the blade itself: a one-piece full tang secured with mekugi pins, and an edge unsharpened for display and collection.

Care

Wipe the blade with a light machine oil after handling. Store horizontally, edge up, away from humidity.
