Fine speckling breaks up the black lacquer of the saya, so the finish is grainy rather than solid. The tsuka is wrapped in grey ito over white diamonds, a muted pairing rather than a high-contrast one.

Unsharpened collector configuration. Sold and fulfilled unsharpened for adult collection and display only.

A bo-hi fuller runs down the flat of the 72 cm high carbon steel blade, which ships unsharpened. The tang is one continuous piece, carried through the tsuka on mekugi pins.

The tsuba and kashira are zinc alloy, and a brass habaki sits where the blade meets the guard.
