Red and black lacquer are mottled together on the saya, so neither color keeps a clean edge anywhere along it. The wrap picks up the warmer half: crimson ito, gold menuki at the grip.

Unsharpened collector configuration. Sold and fulfilled unsharpened for adult collection and display only.

The blade is 3.2 cm wide and 0.75 cm thick, high carbon steel with a bo-hi fuller, and comes unsharpened. It carries on as a single tang through the tsuka, pinned with mekugi.

Hardware is zinc alloy, with the habaki in brass.

What we can verify is on the blade itself: a one-piece full tang secured with mekugi pins, and an edge unsharpened for display and collection.

Care

Wipe the blade with a light machine oil after handling. Store horizontally, edge up, away from humidity.
