Description

Deep burgundy lacquer runs the whole length of the saya with no pattern or fleck to interrupt it. The tsuka is wrapped in black ito, red diamonds showing through the cord along its length.

Unsharpened collector configuration. Sold and fulfilled unsharpened for adult collection and display only.

Behind that mounting sits a 72 cm high carbon blade grooved with a bo-hi fuller, unsharpened before it is packed. Its tang is one piece and runs the full 27 cm of the handle, held by mekugi pins.

Mounting hardware is zinc alloy, with the habaki in brass.

Care

Wipe the blade with a light machine oil after handling. Store horizontally, edge up, away from humidity.
