Description

A wood-grain pattern runs under chestnut lacquer on the saya, which keeps the scabbard closer to bare timber than to gloss. Brown ito with black diamonds wraps the tsuka.

Unsharpened collector configuration. Sold and fulfilled unsharpened for adult collection and display only.

Behind the wrap, the tang runs the full 27 cm of the tsuka as one piece of steel and is held by mekugi pins. The high carbon blade has a bo-hi fuller and ships unsharpened.

Metalwork is zinc alloy except for the habaki, which is brass.

What we can verify is on the blade itself: a one-piece full tang secured with mekugi pins, and an edge unsharpened for display and collection.

Care

Wipe the blade with a light machine oil after handling. Store horizontally, edge up, away from humidity.
