Description

Silver menuki sit under the brown ito of the tsuka, and the saya behind them is black lacquer with gold flecks worked into the finish.

Unsharpened collector configuration. Sold and fulfilled unsharpened for adult collection and display only.

The blade is high carbon steel with a bo-hi fuller grooved along the flat. It runs as one continuous piece into the tang, which is fixed inside the tsuka with mekugi pins, and it arrives unsharpened.

Brass appears only at the habaki; the rest of the mounts are zinc alloy.

Care

Wipe the blade with a light machine oil after handling. Store horizontally, edge up, away from humidity.
