Description

Fine speckle covers the black lacquer of the saya, giving it a grainy surface rather than a flat one. Gold menuki are the one bright point on an otherwise black-wrapped tsuka.

Unsharpened collector configuration. Sold and fulfilled unsharpened for adult collection and display only.

High carbon steel, a bo-hi fuller along the blade, 950 g of it without the saya. The tang is a single piece through the handle and is secured with mekugi. The blade is supplied unsharpened for display and collection.

Mounts are zinc alloy throughout, apart from the brass habaki.

What we can verify is on the blade itself: a one-piece full tang secured with mekugi pins, and an edge unsharpened for display and collection.

Care

Wipe the blade with a light machine oil after handling. Store horizontally, edge up, away from humidity.
