Gold calligraphy runs down the black lacquered saya. The blade has a blackened finish. Its steel grade is not confirmed.

Unsharpened collector configuration. Sold and fulfilled unsharpened for adult collection and display only.

Black ito wraps the tsuka with white diamonds along it, and beneath the wrap the tang is one piece with the blade, fixed by mekugi over the 27 cm of the handle. The sword arrives with an unsharpened edge.

Brass is used for the habaki, zinc alloy for the fittings around it.
