Swirls carved into the saya catch the light along their ridges, so the scabbard moves between its red and black lacquer as it turns. The handle stays quiet next to it: black ito with gold menuki set into the wrap.

Description

Unsharpened collector configuration. Sold and fulfilled unsharpened for adult collection and display only.

This one is built on a one-piece tang pinned through the tsuka with mekugi. The 72 cm blade is high carbon steel, fullered with a bo-hi, and unsharpened before it is packed.

Zinc alloy makes up the tsuba and the pommel, with a brass habaki against the blade.

Wipe the blade with a light machine oil after handling. Store horizontally, edge up, away from humidity.
